قصدتُّ من هذا الشرح توضيحَ معاني "النخبة"، والتركيزَ على مقاصد مؤلفها؛ لأنني لم أجد شرحاً يناسب هذه الطبقةَ من طلاب العلم، اللَّهُمَّ إلا ما كان من تعليق الشيخ خالد بن عبد الله باحميد الأنصاري، أثابه الله، وقد طبع عام (1422هـ)، وقد وُفِّقَ كثيراً في تحقيق مقصوده، لكن أبرز ما يلاحظ عليه نقصُ الأمثلة فيما يذكره الحافظ من مسائلَ، مع أن ضرب الأمثلة من أهمّ ما يُرسِّخُ المعنى.
كما أنه أغفل - ولعله قصد الإختصار - التنبيهَ على بعض تقييداتِ الحافظ لبعض المصطلحات التي أطلقها الأئمةُ على بعض المصطلحات، التي ربما ظن المبتدئُ أنها لا تطلق إلا على ذلك الصورة، فيقع عنده لبسٌ إذا تقدَّم في العلم، فحرَصت على التنبيه على هذا من غير دخول في التفاصيل، إذ التفاصيلُ تُطلب في المطولات.
كما حرَصتُ على وضع المشجَّرات، والرسوم البيانية التي تعين على تصور المسائل المتشعبة، وقد جعلتُ هذه الرسوم مبثوثةً في أثناء الشرح؛ لما رأيت من أثره على الطلاب عند شرحي لهذا المتن.
