إن قلمي المتواضع، يحاول إيجاد رابطة حميمة بين القارئ العادي، والباحث المتخصص في علم الأدب، من خلال الدراسات الأدبية الناقدة التي يضمها بين دفتيه، هذا الكتاب، والدراسات الأدبية المعاصرة، قد تسد فراغاً في المكتبة العربية، ذلك أن معظم الدراسات، من بحوث مستقلة أو جزئية، أو مقالات تقف عن الأدب الحديث، لذا يشعر بعض النابهين في الأدب المعاصر، أن أدبهم، في غيبة عن الدرس الأكاديمي أو متابعة النقاد. وقد اجتهدت في تناول بعض الأصوات الراسخة من بين هؤلاء، وقد قسمت موضوعات الكتاب إلى قسمين كبيرين هما: القسم الأول: في نقد أدب الراشدين وضم الدراسات التالية: (أكاديميون مبدعون: قصة طه وادي نموذجاً، فن الإختيارات الشعرية عند الشاعر غازي القصيبي، آفاق الغربة في ديوان "غناء الأشياء" للشاعر حسين علي محمد"، وجدانيات "يس الفيل" وظلال الرومانسية الجديدة)، وتتمة لدقة التناول مناصفة لأقسام الكتاب افردت النصف الأخير منه، من خلال دراسات تتناول نقد أدب الطفل العربي في إبداعه واتجاهاته، ومحاولة طازجة للإسهام النقدي، وبه تكتمل منظومة نموه في أدبنا المعاصر.
