يسعى هذا الكتاب إلى دراسة المفاهيم في الذهن البشري دراسةً علمية لسانية، في محاولة لتأسيس وجهة نظر معاصرة حول جانب محوري من جوانب الفهم الإنساني.
والكتاب ينقسم إلى ثلاث دراسات، عقدها المؤلف بالمراوحة بين التأصيل البلاغي للتمثيل الذهني للمفاهيم، والتنظير العلمي العرفاني ضمن مباحث علم الأعصاب البيولوجي، وأخيراً بتقديم مقاربة مقاربة تطبيقية على نماذج منوَّعَةٍ من القرآن الكريم، خصوصاً ما كان منها مُرتكِزاً على الآيات التي عالجت عالم الغيب، وبعض مشاهد القيامة والآيات الكونية، وهي النماذج القرآنية التي يكون التصوير المفاهيمي فيها هو العنصر - الحافز للذهن البشري، لأجل إستيعاب تلك القضايا وتكوين أنماط ذهنية حول تلك المشاهد غير المُدرَكَة بالحواس.
والكتاب يمثل مرحلة جديدة من مراحل مشروع الدراسة العرفانية للغة، الذي بدأنا الطريق فيه يطرح (البناء العصبي للغة)، وما أعقبه من بحوث كثيرة، وهو المشروع الذي تتقاطع مراحله مع علم الدماغ (النيورولوجيا) والكون (الكوزمولوجيا) بشمولياتها وتفرعاتها، وفي مركز الدائرة يأتي (القرآن الكريم)، لأننا نرى أن الباراديم الذي ارتضينا معالجة تلك القضايا من خلاله لا ينفك عن كثير من مركزية تلك الإشارات السماوية المهمة؛ فكان أن وضعنا اللسانيات، وعلوم الدماغ والكون، وبعض أطروحات الذكر الحكيم، في سيمفونية شديدة التركيب، تتماهى أجزاؤها في إطار واحد، نطرح مقاربات فهمه وتحليله على توالي أيام الزمن المتاح بحول الله وتيسيره.
