حتى الموت ملعون هنا، هناك الموت جميل، سأطل من فوق أكتاف أحبائي، أمسح دموعهم، سيكون لي وطن صغير، وأسمع صوت العصافير كل صباح تغنى للموتى أغاني الحياة.
وهنا أموت وحيداً غريباً، هناك أموت لأوُجد وأكون وهنا أوُجد لأموت وأعُدم، إنه عدمى الذي لم أخلق له.
إنها النار تأكلني تمتد إلى ملابسي، أشتعل أراها تخرج من فمي، تحرق بنطالي وجزئي الأسفل، النار، كانت الممرضة تغمرني بالثلج والأخرى تلقى بنفسها على النار، سمِعتُ صوت شعري وإنسلاخ وجهي أرى جلدي يهرب من لحمي، لونه القاني الجديد النار تأكلني لوحدي، تمتد إلى يدي أصابعي، أصابعي.. آه.
هكذا تأتي قصص ناصر الظفيري ساخنة، حارة ومدهشة، تكشف المستور وتفضح المسكوت عنه ويصل فيها البوح إلى أقصى مداه.
