بمعرفته العميقة بالتيارات الإسلامية المتعددة، وبصفته كمحام مخضرم في قضايا تلك التيارات، يفتح "مختار نوح" مجموعة من الملفات الشائكة في قضايا إرتبطت بعنف تلك التيارات والجماعات وأنهكت جسد الأمة ولازالت حتى الآن، وإذا كانت هذه القضايا قد حظيت بتغطية إعلامية كبيرة في وقتها وتناولتها أقلام الكتاب من بعد، إلا أن حقيقة الصورة لم يكشف عنها بعد، وهذا ما حاول المؤلف تقديمه في هذه الموسوعة - التي سنواصل نشر أجزائها تباعًا - حيث إنه ربط فيها بين هذه القضايا وبين الخلفيات والأفكار التي تقف وراءها، وكيفية التخطيط لها، ثم وصولًا إلى مرحلة التنفيذ راصدًا بشكل دقيق وقائعها والتحقيقات التي أسفرت عنها والأحكام التي صدرت بشأنها، وفي هذه الموسوعة والذي يبدأ من عام 1974 وحتى عام 1981 تعرض إلى وثائق قضية الفنية العسكرية، ثم قضية التكفير والهجرة ومقتل الشيخ الذهبي رحمه الله، ثم قضية الجهاد الصغرى في عام 1979، ثم قضية مقتل السادات رئيس مصر الأسبق مرورًا بأحداث الفتنة الطائفية واحتجاز البابا شنودة وكلها قضايا تمت تحت ستار الدين، ونأمل من خلال هذه الموسوعة أن تقدم قراءة موضوعية للجماعات التي ارتكبت العنف في مواجهة المجتمع، ومن ثم تأثير ذلك على الوطن.
