لقد كان هدفنا الأساسي في طبع هذا المجلد هو إحياء الحياة الأدبية في الستينيات، وتركيب تاريخ مصر على لسان "محمد حافظ رجب" وشركائه الذين آمنوا بالقول النهضوي لـ "رفاعة رافع الطهطاوي" ... "ليكن الوطن محلاً للسعادة المشتركة بيننا، نبنيه بالحرية والفكر والمصنع"
خمسة وسبعون عاماً هي الفترة الزمنية التي يمثلها المجلد بجزءيه للسياحة في حياة كاتب موطنه الأساسي والوحيد هو فن القص منذ عام 1935 (تاريخ الميلاد)، وحتى عام 2010 (تاريخ آخر مسودة لرواية قصيرة مكتوبة بخط اليد) مثل بقية أعماله غير المنشورة، والتي يتضمنها الجزء الثاني من مجلد الأعمال الكاملة للعامل المصري المناضل "محمد حافظ رجب" الذي لايزال يحلم ويعيش بين مدينتين هما القاهرة والإسكندرية.
