لذا فقد اهتم فقهاء المسلمين ببحث أمر العقوبة الواجبة عليهم اذا وقع منهم الاعتداء علي العرض بالزنا او القذف في داخل الدولة الاسلامية سواء وقعت منهم هذه الجرائم مع بعضهم البعض "كذمي مع ذمية.او ذمي مع مستامنة او ذمية مع مستامن او مستامن مع مستامنة او وقعت مع المسلمين "كذمي مع مسلمة او مستامن مع مسلمة او ذمية مع مسلم او مستامنة مع مسلم.
وهذا الكتاب يعرض لاراء فقهاء المسلمين في العقوبة الواجبة التطبيق في مثل هذه الحالات.
