يشكّل الدعاء - بكلّ تجلّياته المتعدّدة والمختلفة - إحدى قنوات الترابط الروحي المتجذّرة في فطرة الإنسان منذ زمن سحيق، وبالتحديد منذ أن لامست قدماء سطح هذا الكوكب الصغير، وأضحى طعمةً للكوارث والمخاطر الطبيعة التي كانت تهدّده على الأرض، فهو يمثّل حالات تجسيد فعلية لتعزيز قدر أكبر من الترابط والتقارب بالخالق الموجد جلّ وعلا، وإيجاد الوصال بين كلّ حلقات الإتصال الروحي معه.
فالدعاء يعدّ إذاً وسيلةً من الوسائل التي ركن إليها الإنسان منذ أن وُجد لتحقيق آماله وأحلامه، والوصل إلى مبتغاه عبر إستمداد القوة والقدرة على بلوغ ما يرنو إليه من حاجات متجدّدة؛ وقد امتازت الديانات السماوية بهذا اللون المقدّس من عملية الإرتباط مع الله عزّ وجلّ، واشتملت على توصيات عدّة للأتباع للحثّ على طلب الدعاء، وتجنّب التفريط به غير أنّ الإسلام امتاز عليها بإهتمامه الفائق به.
وقد تنوّعت طرق العلماء في تأليف ذلك، فقاموا بتصنيف تلك الأدعية بحسب الأوقات والأزمنة، والمضامين والأغراض، والمواضع والأمكنة، فجاءت الكتب الخاصة بأعمال السنة والشهور، والأسبوع، واليوم والليلة، وشهر رمضان بإهتمام خاصّ، وموسم الحجّ، وفي السفر، والعوذ والأحراز... وغيرها.
وقد قدم الشيخ "علي رضا فراهاني" مشروعه هذا بعد جهد حثيث، ومتابعة مضنية لكتب الأدعية والأوراد والأحراز الصادرة عن الفريقين - وهي كثيرة جداً فالتقط منها ما هو مشابه بينها لفظاً ثم معنىً، وقام بنظمه في حلقات مبرمة، ليقدّمه لكلّ من يستهويه هذا اللون.
