السياق هو الذي يعطي المدلولات ويحددها فإنه من جانب آخر يعطي الشكل التركيبي للعبارة بحيث يكون هناك تفاعل أكيد بينهما، وكلما أتيح لنا رصد السياقات التي تحيط بعملية الإبداع استطعنا تفهم الكثير من العلاقات التركيبية بين أجزاء الكلام.
وقد قسمت هذا البحث إلى مقدمة وثلاثة فصول وخاتمة. ذكرت في المقدمة مناهج دراسة النص، وأهمية السياق موضوع البحث وأثره في المعنى، والسياق الداخلي والخارجي، والسياق وأثره في الدراسة النقدية وتحدثت في الفصل الأول عن مفهوم كل من السياق والمعنى والنص وعلاقته بالسياق وتحدثت في الفصل الثاني عن السياق اللغوي وهو يدور حول السياق المبتكر في إطار اللغة وقسمته إلى مبحثين: مبحث المفردات ومبحث التراكيب، وقد اعتمدت في جانب كبير من هذا المبحث على ما توصل إليه عبد القاهر الجرجاني في نظرية النظم من خلال كتابة دلائل الإعجاز؛ فقد أرسى عبد القاهر دعائم منهج متكامل في تحليل الخطاب إلى جانب بعض المراجع الأخرى القديمة والحديثة. وسعيت في هذا المبحث إلى التأكيد على دور السياق من خلال بعض المباحث البلاغية التي ترتكز قيمتها الفنية على كيفية تناسق الألفاظ. كما أني في هذا المبحث لم افصل بين هذه المباحث سواءمنها ما يتصل بالمعاني أو البيان البديع؛ لأن السياق اللغوي يمكن إدراك دوره وفاعليته من خلال جميع هذه المباحث.وفي الفصل الثالث تحدثت عن السياق الخارجي. وقد سلكت في هذا البحث سبيل الإيجاز واكتفيت في الجوانب التطبيقية بقليل الأمثلة التي يغني عن كثيرها.
