إن من أشرف العلم منزلة ، وأرفعه درجة، وأعلاه رتبة، معرفة معاني الكلام الذي يستعمله الناس في صلواتهم ودعائهم وتسبيحهم وتقربهم إلى ربهم وهم غير عالمي بمعنى ما يتكلمون به من ذلك. قال أبو بكر: وأنا موضح في كتابي هذا -إن شاء الله- معاني ذلك كله ليكون المصلي إذا نظر فيه، عالما بمعنى الكلام يتقرب به إلى خالقه ويكون الداعي فهما بالشئ يسأله ربه ويكون المسبح عارفا بما يعظم به سيده ومتبع ذلك تبيين ما تستعمله العوام في أمثالها، ومحاوراتها من كلام العرب، وهي غير عالمة بتأويله بإختلاف العلماء في تفسيره وشواهده من الشعر، ولن أخليه مما أستحسن إدخاله فيه من النحو والغريب واللغة والمصادر والتثنية والجمع ليكون مشاكلا لاسمه.
