الشهاب الخفاجي (977 - 1069 هـ = 1569 - 1659 م)
أحمد بن محمد بن عمر، شهاب الدين الخفاجي المصري
• قاضي القضاة وصاحب التصانيف في الأدب واللغة.
• نسبته إلى قبيلة خفاجة. ولد ونشأ بمصر، ورحل إلى بلاد الروم، واتصل بالسلطان مراد العثماني فولاه قضاء سلانيك، ثم قضاء مصر. ثم عزل عنها فرحل إلى الشام وحلب وعاد إلى بلاد الروم، فنفي إلى مصر وولي قضاءا يعيش منه فاستقر إلى أن توفي.
من أشهر كتبه:
• (ريحانة الألبا - ط) ترجم به معاصريه على نسق اليتيمة
• (شفاء العليل فيما في كلام العرب من الدخيل - ط)
• (شرح درة الغواص في أوهام الخواص للحريري - ط)
• (طراز المجالس - ط)
• (نسيم الرياض في شرح شفاء القاضي عياض - ط) أربع مجلدات
• (خبايا الزوايا بما في الرجال من البقايا - خ) مجلد في التراجم
• (ريحانة الندمان - خ)
• (عناية القاضي وكفاية الراضي - ط) حاشية على تفسير البيضاوي، ثماني مجلدات
• (ديوان الأدب في ذكر شعراء العرب)
• (السوانح - خ) في خزانة أسعد أفندي بالآستانة، رقم 2738 أدب (كما في المختار من المخطوطات العربية بالآستانة 47)
• (قلائد النحور من جواهر البحور - ط) في العروض، ومعه رسالتان له أيضا، هما (جنة الولدان) و (الكنس الجواري) أخبرني بهما أحمد خيري، ولعلهما في مكتبته [هذا المجموع (من 3 رسائل) عزاه صاحب (معجم المطبوعات) للشهاب الحجازي، وتابعه الزركلي فيما سبق (جـ 1 صـ 230) ولعله الصواب]
• وله شعر رقيق جمع في (ديوان - خ). (1)

(1) خلاصة الأثر 1: 331 وصفوة من انتشر 128 والفهرس التمهيدي 383 ولغة العرب 1: 307 وآداب اللغة 3: 286 وسماه الناشر لكتابه (ريحانة الألبا) ببولاق سنة 1273 هـ (محمودا) وهو خطأ. واقرأ بعض ترجمته فيما كتبه عن نفسه في الريحانة 361 وما بعدها.
