يتناول هذا الكتاب واحدة من أهم مكونات الحضارة اليمنية القديمة، وهي نقوش الإهداءات البشرية، التي انعكست من خلالها طرائق العبادات اليمنية القديمة، وطرائق تعامل كل قبيلة وكل مملكة من الممالك اليمنية القديمة مع الآلهة التي كانت تعبدها، فضلاً عن شرح مكونات الإهداءات وأسبابها، والنقوش الموجودة فيها.
وقد جاء هذا الكتاب مقسماً إلى مقدمة وأربعة فصول وخاتمة، تطرق الأول منها إلى مفهوم الإهداءات والمصطلحات المتعلقة بها، ودور المرأة في تقديم الإهداءات، وحماية الآلهة للإهداءات المقدمة إليها، وأماكن وأوقات تقديم تلك الإهداءات، أما الفصل الثاني منها فقد تضمن أنواع الإهداءات في حين تناول الفصل الثالث منها أسباب الإهداءات المقدمة إلى الآلهة، أما الفصل الرابع منها فقد اشتمل على الإهداءات البشرية.
