يواصل مركز دراسات الوحدة العربية إصدار تقريره السنوي عن حال الأمة العربية، وهو التقرير الذي بات مرجعاً علمياً للتطورات السياسية والإقتصادية والأمنية التي يشهدها الوطن العربي في عام، ينطلق التحليل فيه من توجه عروبي ملتزم يحرص على توخي العلمية والموضوعية في مقارباته وأحكامه.
يصدر تقرير هذا العام (2017- 2018) في ظل تطورات مهمة عرفتها الساحة العربية تضمنت بعض الصفحات الإيجابية قياساً على السنوات الأخيرة التي سبقتها، وهي تجلّت بالإنجازات العسكرية والأمنية التي تمت على صعيد إستعادة الدولة الوطنية في كل من العراق وسورية ولو قدراً من توازنها وتماسكها وسيادتها على معظم أراضيها، عبر الإنتصارات التي تحققت على الإرهاب وإسقاط ما سُمي دولة الخلافة الإسلامية على أرض البلدين، لكن في المقابل استمرت بعض الأزمات الأخرى مفتوحة، كالحرب في اليمن والصراعات في ليبيا.
أما بالنسبة إلى القضية العربية المركزية، أي القضية الفلسطينية، فيزداد المشهد فيها تعقيداً وتهديداً، وبخاصة مع تصاعد الهجمة الأمريكية والصهيونية لتصفية هذه القضية، في ظل المزيد من تهميش وتراجع الإهتمام بهذه القضية على مستوى النظام الرسمي العربي.
فضلاً عن ذلك يحلل التقرير المؤشرات والإتجاهات الرئيسية للإقتصادات العربية وإنعكاساتها على الوضع الإجتماعي والمعيشي للشعوب العربية، كما يتناول تطورات الوضع العربي في سياق المشهد الإقليمي والدولي.
