كتاب "التوحيد" هو لمحمد بن عبد الوهاب، وضعه لبيان الأمور التي تؤدي معرفتها والعمل بها لدخول الجنة،والجهل بها وإضاعتها سبب لدخول النار. وجعل أوله قول الله عز وجل (وما خلقت الجن والإنس إلا ليعبدون). وهو يذكر فيه الآيات والأحاديث ويبين المسائل التي خالف فيها رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أهل الجاهلية وقد عمد حفيده عبد الرحمن بن حسن بن محمد بن عبد الوهاب إلى وضع شرح مبسوط مفيد على الكتاب التوحيد سماه: قرة عين الموحدين في تحقيق دعوة الأنبياء.
وقد أجاد فيه وأفاد وأبرز فيه من البيان ما يجب أن يطلب منه ويراد، فقال في معنى التوحيد أن المراد به توحيد العبادة وقد عم الجهل بالتوحيد الذي هو أصل دين الإسلام فأصله أن لا يعبد إلى الله، وأن لا يعبد إلا بما شرع، وقد ترك هذا وصارت عبادة الأكثرين مشوبة بالشرك والبدع. والكتاب في ستة وستين باباً وفهارس عامة بالأحاديث القولية والفعلية وفهرس آثار الصحابة والتابعين، وفهرس بالمرجع وكل ذلك يسهل على الباحث عملية الوصول إلى مبتغاه.
