هذا الكتاب يجمع سلسلة المقالات التي نشرت في صحيفة "الأخبار" ما بين 9 تشرين ثاني 1969 و 25 كانون الثاني 1970، تحت العنوان الرئيسي "إعادة الإعتبار للحقيقة في الخلاف مع جماعة الحرية".
وهو يشكل الرد على مقالات محسن إبراهيم الصادرة على صفحات "الحرية" ما بين 15 أيلول و6 تشرين الأول 1969 تحت عنوان: "حقيقة الخلاف مع الحزب الشيوعي اللبناني"، كما جاءت رداً على بعض الأفكار التي احتوتها الوثيقة الإنتقادية التي نشرتها منظمة الإشتراكيين اللبنانيين.
حيث يسعى المؤلف، بحسب رأيه، أن يكشف الأقنعة عن كل الإشتراكيات المشوهة، وأن يساهم في توضيح الطريق أمام المؤمنين بالإشتراكية منهجاً للتفكير ومرشداً للعمل، في نضالهم من أجل التغيير الثوري للعالم القديم.
