يتحدث هذا الكتاب عن المملكة النظامية أو ما يعرف تاريخياً بـ (النظام شاهية) مستعرضاً ابرز قادتها وملوكها، وعلمائها وعلاقاتها مع الجوار، والحروب التي خاضتها، والأهم من ذلك كله العقيدة التي تمثلها.
والنظام شاهية كما جاء تعريفها في هذا الكتاب: "هي مملكة شيعية قامت في بلاد الدكن بعد اضمحلال المملكة البهمينة التي حكمت من عام (748هـ-1347م/إلى عام 932هـ-1525م) وفي أواخر تلك الدولة وبعد وفاة محمد شاه الثالث الذي حكم من 867 إلى 887هـ (1463- 1482م) استقل حكام الأقاليم المختلفة ببلادهم واقتسم المملكة البهمينة اسرة عماد شاه في برار، ونظام شاه في أحمد نكر وبريد شاه في بيدر، وعادل شاه في بيجاور، وقطب شاه في كولكنده...
وثلاث من تلك الممالك كانت شيهية وهي النظام شاهية، والعادل شاهية والقطب شاهية...
وينتسب نظام شاهية الذي يتحدث عنه هذا الكتاب إلى: نظام الملك حسن البحري واسمه الأصلي بهريو ابن برهمنان وكان هندوسياً من أهل فيجيا نكر وقد أسره الجيش البهيمني في احد الوقائع وأطلق عليه الملك البهيمني اسم (حسن) وكان جندياً فارساً مخلصاً...
هذا الكتاب، صفحات من تاريخ المملكة النظام شاهية، بانتصاراتها، وانتكاساتها، والثقافة التي عكستها، ودفاع ملوكها وعلمائها عنها. هذا وقد ألحق الكتاب بـ (صور ولوحات تاريخية) عبارة عن خرائط ووئائق وكتابات خاصة استلت من عهد المملكة النظام شاهية.
