إن آيات القرآن الكريم كانت وماتزال تشكل في حقيقتها إعجازاً فكرياً وروحياً ومعنوياً يسعى إلى مخاطبة عقول البشر ووجدانهم في كل عصر بما برع العلماء فيه، وسيظل عطاء القرآن متجدداً وخالداً أبد الدهر، لا تنقطع استمراريته ليجد فيه كل جيل حاجته ومحجته، فإعجازه هذا بينة ظاهرة وميسرة لهم في كل زمان ومكان؛ لأن الله تعالى تكفل بحفظه على مر الأيام والعصور.
إن صور الإعجاز الرباني بشتى أشكالها وألوانها تتراءى للعيان عند المتأملين في الكون والحياة، فتتجلى عظمة القادر عز وجل وإبداعه العظيم في كل مكان بما في ذلك المخلوقات والكائنات الحية، إلى جانب البشر الذين كرمهم الله عز وجل فيتساوون في نظرهم؛ لأن القرآن يخاطب العقول والأفئدة وهم يتأملون في ملكوت السماوات والأرض.
إن القرآن شرفنا بالنظر في آياته المعجزة التي تطالعنا بها صفحة الكون والحياة، وهي الآيات التي أمرنا الله تعالى بالتدبر فيها لاستيعاب حقائقها عن طريق الاستدلال القرآنى عليها، والذى يتمثل بالمنهج العلمي الذي يقوم عادة على الاستقراء والاستنتاج العقلي.
فإذا اعتبرنا الكون كتاب الله المشهود والقرأن كتابه المقروء، فإن أول إشارة هي قوله عز وجل: "سنريهم ءاياتنا في الأفاق وفي أنفسهم حتى يتبين لهم أنه الحق أولم يكف بربك أنه على كل شئ شهيد" (فصلت:53).
