يزداد التاريخ مكانة عند القارئين والباحثين، إذا خلا من الشخصيات والتجريح وفى التاريخ أيام لاتنسى، و تمحى آثارها المادية والمعنوية من الأذهان، إما لخير عم الناس، فهم على رجاء وأمل، وإما لشر دهمهم، فهم فى فزع وعلى وجل. ولقد كان يوم 3 سبتمبر 1981 والثلاثة والثلاثون يوماص التى تلته، من الأيام التى سهدتها مصر، فلناس فيها ذكريات مرير، ومآس تعيسة، قام بها فرد واحد بمحض إرادته.
لقد دهى مصر فى ذلك اليوم النكد، يوم 3 سبتمبر 1981، ما أفزعها وأحزنها واعتصر حياة الحرية فيها، على يد السيد محمد أنور السادات، رئيس جمهورية مصر العربية- رحمنى ورحمه الله- فى ذلك اليوم، بعد أن أطلق لخياله وغروره العنان، وسمى نفسه رب العائلة المصرية كلها.
أقدم على تلك الخطوة المنكرة، التى كنت ممن ذاق مرراتها مائة وثمانية عشر يوماً تباعاً فى سجن انفرادي.
ولا يتوقع القارئ أننى سأتعرض لأخلاقه أو نسبه، فليس ذلك من الدين فى شئ، هذا إلى صلتى به عابرة، ليست كصلة من عاشروه فى الكلية الحربية، ومن عاشوا معه من السياسية فى السجن، كما أنى لن أعرض لشئ مما أراد القدر أن أعرف مصادفة، وما أكتبه هنا من تصرفات، أنقله من صحفة التى كانت تسبح بحمده وكفاءته وبطولته وحكمته!!! ولم يكذبها أحد، وما أخالها إلا قد أصبحت حقائق عند السامعين والقارئين.
