هذه سلسلة رسائل حديثية، لا يستغني عنها عالم فضلاً عن طالب علم، حبرتها يد عالم محدث محقق، غاص في بحار علم الحديث وأهدانا هذه الجواهر والدرر، استهل هذه الرسائل ببحث سهل يسير عند السلف الصالحين، وشائك عسير عند المتأخرين، ألا وهو «حكم العمل بالحديث الضعيف» سلك فيه مسارات ثلاثة: نظريّاً، وتطبيقيّاً، ودعاوى عريضة. فمن رام الحقيقة وبحث عن المنهج السديد.. وصل إلى ما يريد، ومن خبط خبط عشواء، وتبنى شائعات تواردت على الألسن.. كان إمعة وقلد تقليداً أعمى يصل به إلى ليِّ أعناق النصوص؛ لذا فإنك ستجد في هذا البحث بيان جواز العمل بالحديث الضعيف من خلال أقوال الأئمة المحدثين المتقدمين، وهذا من الأهمية بمكان. لقد أوضح المؤلف حفظه الله تعالى تعريف الحديث الضعيف وأقسامه في ضوء مجمل ألفاظ الجرح والتعديل، وما هي شروط العمل بالحديث الضعيف تطبيقاً من خلال تطبيقات الأئمة له، وبيان مجالات العمل بالحديث الضعيف، ثم تفنيد الدعوى العريضة القائلة: بعدم جواز العمل بالحديث الضعيف، والرد على ذلك من خلال سرد من نسب إليهم العمل بالحديث الضعيف من الأئمة. ثم ختم الرسالة بمسائل لها تعلق بالحديث الضعيف؛ كإطلاق الضعف على حديث بناء على إسناد معين، وهل يلزم المحدث بيان الضعف، وما هي الصيغة التي يذكر بها الحديث الضعيف: صيغة الجزم أو عدمه إلى غير ذلك مما تقرُّ به العيون.
