باتريشيا أوفدرهايدي: أستاذ دراسات التواصل في كلية التواصل بالجامعة الأمريكية في واشنطن، وهي تشارك «ماثيو نيسبت» في إدارة مركز الإعلام الاجتماعي. ومن بين كتبها «استعادة الاستخدام العادل: كيف تعيد التوازن لمجال حقوق التأليف والنشر» (يونيفرسيتي أوف شيكاجو) بالتعاون مع بيتر جاسي، و«الأفلام الوثائقية: مقدمة قصيرة جدًّا» (أكسفورد)، و«حياة كوكبنا اليومية» (يونيفرسيتي أوف مينيسوتا برس) و«سياسة التواصل في الصالح العام» (جيلفورد برس). شاركت أوفدرهايدي كعضو في لجنة تحكيم مهرجان السودان السينمائي، وحصلت على العديد من الجوائز التقديرية في مجال الصحافة والدراسات البحثية منها جائزة «ومان أوف فيجن» في عام٢٠١٠م، وجائزة عن الإنجاز المهني في عام ٢٠٠٨م، وجائزة «سكولارشيب آند بريزيرفيشن أوورد» في عام ٢٠٠٦م.
