بفضل الله تعالى حظي الكتاب في طبعته الأولى بمتابعة وإهتمام الكثير من القراء والباحثين، ولم تلبث الطبعة أن نفدت ولم أتوقع أن يبقى البحث متواصلاً عن مزيد من النسخ الورقية، ولم أعط الطلبات المتزايدة أهمية كبيرة إذ توقعت أنها فترة وتنتهي، ثم توالت علي الإتصالات عبر كل الوسائل بعضها يحتاج عاجلاً خاصة إذا كان الأمر يتعلق بالمؤتمرات والندوات، وكم يعز علي كباحثة أن أعتذر من المتصل، ولا أخيفك سراً أيها القارئ الكريم كانت سعادتي بهذه الطلبات وهذا الإحتفاء بحجم السماء، وبعد أن حظي الكتاب بحضوره الجيد في ملتقى نقد النقد في النادي الأدبي في الرياض، كذلك بعد أن لوحظ إنخراطاً كبيراً من أساتذة الجامعات وطلابهم في مجال الرواية والسيرة الذاتية؛ أخذت الأمر بجدية وعزيمة وقررت الدفع بالكتاب إلى الطبعة الثانية؛ للتيسير على الباحثين؛ وحتى يبقى الورقي حاضراً بين أيديهم وعلى أرفف المكتبات.
ومما يلفت الإنتباه تركيز الباحثين على طرح السيرة الذاتية كجنسين مختلفين ومتفقين في ذات الوقت والتركيز على عامل التعالق بينهما؛ حيث شهدت الدراسات النقدية الحديثة حضوراً مطرداً بنقطة الإرتكاز هذه بين الجنسين في العشر سنوات الأخيرة؛ وقد شغلني كثيراً مصطلح التعالق بينهما منذ أن فكرت في إعداد خطة هذا البحث في العام 1418هـ؛ لأنه الأقرب تعبيراً عن منطقة الإتصال بين الرواية والسيرة الذاتية وأحمد الله أنني لم أستسلم لإقتراحات الآخرين الذين حالوا ثنيي إلى مصطلح تداخل فلم اقتنع إلا بمصطلح التعالق...
