يتناول هذا الكتاب مصالح قوى العولمة على الساحة العربية، وسعيها إلى تفكيك المجتمع وإضعاف الدولة، حتى تؤسس البنية الملائمة لتحقيق هذه المصالح ولتفكيك المجتمع وإضعاف الدولة تبنت آليات كثيرة، منها تكثيف العمالة الأجنبية الوافدة على ساحة الخليج، وإشعال الصراع بين الأقليات لتفجير الأقطار العربية من الداخل، إضافة إلى سلب عقول هذه المجتمعات حتى تعوق تقدمها، بالإضافة إلى ذلك سعت قوى العولمة بمعاونة قوى داخلية، لتهيئة الظروف لانهيار الطبقة الوسطى، وتشرذم النخبة وانصرافها عن التزامها الاجتماعي، إلى جانب ذلك سعت قوى العولمة إلى تقويض بنية الأسرة العربية سواء في المجتمعات العربية التي تشهد صراعات مسلحة، أو التي تعيش حالة مستقرة نسبياً، يضاف إلى ذلك عجز المجتمع العربي بأوضاعه الحالية عن بناء مجتمع المعرفة أو التكيف مع إحتياجات سوق العمل، وفي النهاية يعالج الكتاب تأثير تكنولوجيا الإعلام على الأسرة العربية بإعتبارها الوحدة المحورية في بناء المجتمع وما هو المدخل لتأسيس إعلام ملتزم بقضايا أمته.
