ويعرض الكتاب الحالي لدراسة تحليلية نفسية لشخصية الدجال بالاعتماد على حالات واقعية متنوعة، وفي حقيقة الأمر لم تكن هذه الدراسة سهلة وبسيطة على مؤلفه، ولكن رغم ذلك كانت ممتعة، فكانت رحلة عبر تخصصات عديدة تناولت السحر وممارسيه من زوايا مختلفة: تاريخية، إجتماعية، انثروبولوجية، فولكلورية، سياسية، إعلامية... وغيرها. ولقد حاول مؤلفه أن يجعل أسلوب كتابته أسلوباً علمياً يجمع بين الدقة العلمية، والقصر دون التطويل، والبساطة في التعبير، بحيث يكون ممتعاً لكل من المتخصص النفسي المتعمق، والمثقف العام، والقارئ الذي يرغب في متعة المعرفة.
