يتناول المؤلف "عبد الحكيم سليمان المالكى" فى هذا الكتاب جماليات الرواية الليبية، وذلك على ثلاثة أقسام أحتوى القسم الأول منها على السرديات بين النظرية والتطبيق فى فصلين الأول منهما تناول الجذور التأسيسية لعلم السرديات، وتناول الثانى المنطلق النظرى للاشتغال فى الكتاب، ليبدأ القسم الثانى فى حديثه عن جماليات الخطاب فى الرواية الليبية وذلك فى الفصول الثالث: دراسة للزمن فى "نزيف الحجر" لإبراهيم الكونى، الفصل الرابع: دراسة جماليات توظيف الصيغة السردية فى جزء الثلاثية الأول والفصل الخامس: جماليات الصيغة السردية والرؤية فى رواية التابوت للغزال.
أما القسم الثالث والأخير فهو من الفصل السادس إلى الفصل الثامن يتناول بنية الحدث وبناء الشخصيات فى رواية "نزيف الحجر"، الترابط البنيوى للمكونات الحكائية فى ثلاثية "أحمد الفقيه"، وأخيراً دراسة لجماليات الحكاية فى "واو الصغرى" لإبراهيم الكونى.
