هذا الكتاب قدم بحثاً لأستكمال متطلبات الحصول علي درجة الإجازة العالية (الماجستير) في علم النفس من كلية الآداب مصراتة بجامع السابع من أكتوبر, وقد أجيز بتقدير ممتاز بعد أن نوقش في 25. 9. 2005 مسيحي, ويعتبر هذا الكتاب أول مساهمة متواضعة يقدمها المؤلف للقارئ العربي, وقد قسم الكتاب إلي خمسة فصول, تناول الفصل الأول سيكولوجية الضغوط المهنية والصحة النفسية من حيث المفهوم والمصادر وأهم النظريات المفسرة والآثار المترتبة.
أما الفصل الثاني فقد عرض الدراسات المماثلة أو القريبة من موضوع الكتاب مع تقديم تعليق عام لها, ويتناول الفصل الثالث موضوع البحث وخطته, وحين قدم الفصل الرابع إجراءات البحث, من حيث المنهج ومجتمع البحث والعينة المختارة والأدوات المتبعة وصدقها وثباتها, وقد تم في الفصل الخامس عرض ومناقشة نتائج البحث والتوصيات الملائمة والمقترحات. ثم ختم الكتاب بتقديم ملخص باللغة العربية والأنجليزية وبذكر المراجع المستخدمة في البحث.
قد سعي الباحث جهده في عرض الموضوعات مراعياً بساطة الأسلوب حتي يحقق الغرض, ويأمل أن يحقق هذا الكتاب بعض أو كل ما يرجو, فيستفيد منه الدارس, والباحث, والعامل في الميدان, ويأسف علي أي قصور قد يلاحظه القارئ في هذه الطبعة, فإن كنت قد وقفت فبفضل من الله وتوفيقه, أما إن كان ثمة عيب أو تقصير, فأدعو الله سبحانه وتعالي أن يعلمنا ما جهلنا وينفعنا بما علمنا.
