أنظر من أعلى نقطة في المنحدر إلى تيار ماء يتحرك بتمهل، إلى قطرات ماء رصاصية، وبشكل غير معقول أتخيل أن كل قطرة ربما تعود إلى أصلها لو استطعت أن أغوص فيها عارياً بسنوات طفولتي، لو استطعت أن أمسك بيدي الآن عصا طويلة مبللة أو مجدافين رنانين من الزمن القديم، وأن أدفع للأمام، فوق سطع الماء الناعم، مركباً خشباً يصل حتى حدود الحلم لكائن كان هو ذاتي غير أني تركته هناك مرتطماً بالشاطئ، في مكان ما من الزمن.
