هذا الكتاب هو شرح لمتن متين في علوم البلاغة، ألا وهو متن العلاقة في فن الاستعارة، لمحمود بن عبد الله الأنطاكي الحلبي الحنفي (ت: 1160هـ)، حيث إنه يتحدث فيه عن الحقيقة والمجاز والكناية، فيُعرّف كلاً منها تعريفاً مختصراً، ويضرب أمثلةً على ذلك مستعيناً بأقوال الزمخشري في كتابه (الكشاف). فقد جاء هذا الشرح مختصراً في بابه، وافياً بمراده، سهل التناول، قريب العبارة.
ومؤلفه هو بكر بن أحمد المنتشوي المسولي الشهير بمصنفك، من أعيان القرن الثاني عشر الهجري، وهو تلميذ صاحب متن العلاقة مجمود الأنطاكي رحمهما الله تعالى.
