حقق رشدي راشد كتب علماء العرب الرياضيين وترجم المخطوطات العربية إلى الفرنسية وشرحها تاريخيًا وفلسفيًا ورياضيًا وعلق عليها . كما أعاد إحياء تراث ابن الهيثم والخوارزمي والكِندي وعمر الخيام والسموأل وقدم عنهم حقائق تاريخية لم تكن معروفة من قبل.

صدر عن مركز دراسات الوحدة العربية كتاب "بين الفلسفة والرياضيات: من ابن سينا إلى كمال الدين الفارسي " للدكتور رشدي راشد.
هذا الكتاب هو الثالث الذي يصدر عن المركز ضمن سلسلة «دراسات تاريخية في الفلسفة والعلوم في الحضارة العربية الإسلامية» التي يشرف عليها الدكتور رشدي راشد بالتعاون مع مجلة التفاهم التي تصدر عن وزارة الأوقاف والشؤون الدينية العُمانية، حيث انصبت دراسات الكتاب الأول من هذه السلسلة على التداخل بين الكلام والفلسفة في الثقافة العربية - الإسلامية الوسيطة من خلال فلسفة أبي يوسف بن إسحاق الكندي، بهدف التعرف إلى بدايات نشأة الفكر الفلسفي في الإسلام، وركزت دراسات الكتاب الثاني على إنجازات الفلسفة الإسلامية المبكرة والوسيطة من خلال فلسفة أبي نصر الفارابي، لبيان كيف أُسست الفلسفة الإسلامية وكيف أثر ازدهار الرياضيات والعلوم في تأسيسها.
وقد انتهى ما أتى به الكندي والفارابي وكل الموروث الفلسفي الإسلامي واليوناني إلى ابن سينا، الذي استوعب بدوره كل ما في زمانه من علوم، وأراد وضع نظام فلسفي، متكامل، يأخذ في الحسبان كل هذه المعارف. يحتوي هذا الكتاب على مجموعة بحوث حديثة ومعاصرة حول إنجازات فلسفة ابن سينا في الحضارة العربية - الإسلامية، وما يتصل بذلك من تأسيس على ما سبق من بحوث ودراسات، وكيف تطوّر هذا الإنجاز المعرفي عند ابن سينا إلى ثورة كبرى عند فلاسفة القرن السابع عشر، وكذلك حول إنجازات ابن سينا في الرياضيات. كما ركّزت بحوث أخرى في هذا الكتاب على تأثيرات ابن سينا في الفلسفة وعلم الكلام والعلائق بينهما، ومن ثَمّ في أسلوبية جدليات علم الكلام الإسلامي مع جميع الفرق.
