رشدي راشد (1936- )رياضي مصري وفيلسوف ومؤرخ يعيش في فرنسا منذ 1956 ويعمل أستاذًا بجامعة دوني دويدرو وعدد من جامعات العالم.
حقق رشدي راشد كتب علماء العرب الرياضيين وترجم المخطوطات العربية إلى الفرنسية وشرحها تاريخيًا وفلسفيًا ورياضيًا وعلق عليها . كما أعاد إحياء تراث ابن الهيثم والخوارزمي والكِندي وعمر الخيام والسموأل وقدم عنهم حقائق تاريخية لم تكن معروفة من قبل.

"الرياضيات التحليلة بين القرن الثالث والقرن الخامس للهجرة" الترجمة العربية للمجلدات الخمسة التي ألفها الدكتور رشدي راشد (باللغة الفرنسية) وهي ضمن سلسلة تاريخ العلوم عند العرب (13/5).
وهي دراسة موسوعية متكاملة في "الرياضيات التحليلية" تطمح الى تجميع وثائق هندسة اللامتناهيات في الصغر المكتوبة بالعربية وتحقيقها وشرحها وكتابة تاريخها خلال فترة ازدهارها القصوى بين القرن الثالث والقرن الخامس للهجرة (أي بين القرن التاسع والقرن الحادي عشر للميلاد).
يُعَدُّ هذا العمل الموسوعي، الذي يستند إلى إحدى عشرة مخطوطة عربية ، خطوة هامة في اكتشاف المخطوطات العربية العلمية ، وفي إظهار وتحليل مدرسة عربية أصيلة في الرياضيات التحليلية والهندسية ورياضيات اللامتناهيات في الصغر، مع تتبع علمائها وتطورها وانتاجها واصالتها.
ويحظى الرياضي الحسن ابن الهيثم ، في هذه المجموعة القيمّة بمرتبة عالية ، باعتباره مبتكراً في العلوم الرياضية في عصره ، وموثراً في من جاء بعده مَنْ علماء البصريات تحديداً، وعلوم الفيزياء عامة .
وتبقى الترجمة العربية لهذه المجلدات الخمسة ، محافظة ، حتى درجة عالية من المسؤولية والحرَفيَّة ، على ما جاء في النص الأصلي (باللغة الفرنسية) وهو إنجاز تراثي كبير يقدمة مركز دراسات الوحدة العربية بالتعاون مع مدينة الملك عبد العزيز للعلوم التقنية إلى القارىء العربي.
