"قاموس الصِّيّغ والأوزان العربيَّة" خطوة في سبيل قاموسيّة صِيَغيّة تحاول الإجابة عمّا في العربيّة من الصِّيَغ الصرفيّة بإعتبار ذلك هدفاً رئيسيّاً من أهداف المعجميّة العربيّة المختصّة ومُبادَرة في سبيل مقاربة وصفيّة وتاريخيّة وتقنيّة جامعة لصِيَغ العربيّة وأوزانها وما لهذه الصَّيَغ والأوزان من وجوه وأشكال سُخِّرت وما زالت تُسخَّر للتعبير عمّا في العربيّة من المفاهيم والمعاني.
وإنّ ذلك ممّا يدعو إلى ضرورة إستقراء ما في هذا القاموس من المَداخِل الصَّيَغيّة وأمثلتِها المُطبَّقة للإستفادة منها رصيداً قائماً يخدم العربيّة في حركتها التطوّرية ومسيرتها الحضاريّة.
والهدف النهائيّ من ذلك جميعاً هو الكشف عن مخزون العربيّة الصرفيّ من أبنية المفردات وتوفير مدوّنة تتضمَّن بعض المعطيات الأساسيّة حول التفكير الصرفيّ عند علماء اللغة العربيّة قديماً بما يمكّن الباحثين من تقديم وجهة نظر نقديّة للتراث الصرفيّ العربيّ نثري الجهود الرامية إلى تطوير العربيّة.
على أنّ هذا القاموس لم يتخلَّ عن هدفه البيداغوجي، فهو يضع بين يدي القارئ بطريقة مُيسَّرة ووجيزة ما ينشده من الصِّيغ العربيَّة من خلال ما أحصاء علماء اللغة منها فيذكر نوعها ومجال تَوارُدها والمثال الذي يجسِّم مظهر إستعمالها بما يقدّم تعريفاً كافيّا لهويّتها.
بَلَغ العَدد الإجماليّ للأبنية التي جمعها المُؤلف (1476) بناءً، تَوزَّعت على أبنية الأسماء والصِّفات (1266) بناءً، وأبنية الأعجميّ (133) بناءً، وأبنية الأفعال (77) بناءً... وهذا أشمل إحصاء في باب الأبنية العربيّة.
