"قصة حب" رواية أعجوبة في الجرأة والنقاد، وهي جريئة لأنها تجري ضد التيار، نقية لأن الحب فيها يستعيد مكانه الحقيقي ويصبح مقدساً، إنها حدث أدبي لأهم كاتب أميركي من السبعينات "أريك ستيفال" فيها يروي قصة فتى غني وفتاة فقيرة يحاول كل منهما أن يتجاوز وضعه الاجتماعي ليلتقيا في الحب ويتّحدا في السراء والضراء… قصة حب تتحدث إلى قلوب جيل بكامله من الشباب… قصة بسيطة كالماء الذي يجري، غريبة كالحياة التي يوجهها حبيبان ليسخرا منها، مؤثرة كجميع المصائر البشرية… فيها تتضح أسمى معاني الحب والتسامي، "فالحب هو ألا يكون لنا أن نقول أبدا أننا آسفون".
