تحكي الرواية قصة فرح _المصابة بالسكلسل_ التي تكتب ذكريات حياتها الى نور... ذكريات من طفولتها، ومراهقتها وايام نضجها... تنقلنا معها عبر المحطات المختلفة التي مرت بها فرح بدأ من وفاة والدها بسبب نفس المرض، واكتشاف اصابتها بالسكلسل.. مرورا بالنوبات التي تجاوزتها.. وانتهاء باليوم الذي قررت فيه ان تكتب..
رغم أن أبطال الرواية وتفاصيل حياتهم هو من وحي الخيال إلا أن الأجزاء الطبية في الرواية مبنية على حقائق عن مرض السكلسل تمت مراجعتها من قبل أطباء أمراض الدم..
تقول أرقام وزارة الصحة أن عدد المصابين بالسكلسل في المملكة العربية السعودية تدور حول الثمانين ألف.. وأن مشكلة إنجاب أطفال مصابون بالمرض لازالت مستمرة رغم فرض تحاليل ما قبل الزواج ومبادرات التوعية بالزواج الصحي..
كتبت هذه الرواية كمحاولة مني وأنا شخص سليم لفهم المرض.. وأسعى لنشرها كمحاولة لإيضاح شيء بسيط عما يعيشه مصابي السكلسل للقارئ..
