إنه لا ينبغي لأحد فتح الله له بابَ الفهم، ونوَّر بصيرتَه بالعلم، ورأى من نفسه أهليةً، أن يكتفي بتقليد من سبق، بل عليه أَنْ يُعْنَى بالكتابة والتأليف في مختلف العلوم والفنون، فقد يفتح الله على متأخرٍ بما لم يخطر على قلبِ متقدمٍ وإن علا شأنه، وذلك فضل الله يؤتيه من يشاء، وقد يخفى على العالم الكبير بعضُ ما يُدركه من هو دونه، لأن الْعِلْمَ مِنَحٌ ومَوَاهِبُ. والمنظومة البيقونية، تأليف الشيخ عُمر بنِ محمَّد بنِ فُتُوح البيقوني الدمشقي الشافعي (ت 1080هـ)، منظومةٌ مباركةٌ، وقع بها نفعٌ كثير، ولقيت استحساناً مُنقطعَ النَّظير، واعتنى بها العلماء، ووضعوا عليها شروحاً مختلفة
وقد اعتنيتُ بهذه المنظومة منذ أول نشأتي في علوم الحديث، فرأيتُ أن أضع عليها شرحاً وسطاً يكون بفضل الله ومشيئته تذكرةً للمنتهين من أهل هذا الفنِّ، وزاداً نافعاً لي وللمبتدئين من طلبة هذا العلم الشريف الذي حوى كلامَ سيد الأوَّلين والآخِرين صلى الله تعالى عليه وآله وسلم. وإتماماً للفائدة ألحقتُ بآخرها تتماتٍ وفوائدَ نافعة، وأبواباً وفصولاً تابعة لما احتوت عليه من أنواع العلوم، ناسجاً على نفس المنوال، ليتم بها النفع على أحسن حال، ويُستغنى بها عن غيرها من المختصرات الجامعة، فقد ذكر الحافظ ابن حجر رحمه الله في شرح النخبة أن مختصره قد اشتمل على جميع أنواع علوم الحديث.
وتحرَّيْتُ في هذا الشرح ذِكْرَ نكاتٍ ظريفة، وجواهر منيفة، لا تكاد تجدها في أمهات كتب هذا الفنِّ فضْلاً عن مختصراته، مع عَزْوِ الأقوال إلى أصحابها، والقواعدِ إلى مصادرها، ليسهل الرجوعُ إليها عند الحاجة، فإنَّ ذِكْرَ الكلام مَعْزُوًّا إلى مصدره وإلى قائله، مما تطمئن النفس إليه، وهو من الأمانة العلمية، وفاعلُ ذلك يُباركُ له في علمه، ويُنتفعُ به، ولم يزل ذلك دَأْبَ العلماء والفضلاء يحثون عليه طلبة العلم( ). والقصدُ من ذلك تيسيرُ ما عَسُرَ فهمُه، وتسهيلُ ما صَعُبَ إدراكُه، وتقريبُ ما بَعُد مَنَالُه، رجاءَ أن ينالني من البركةِ في محياي، والدعاءِ الصالحِ بعد مماتي ما وقع لأسلافي، والله أسأل أن ينفع به كما نفع بنظمه، إنه على كل شيءٍ قدير، وهو نعم المولى ونعم النصير.
