"تلويحة السراب" عمل قصصي للكاتبة فوزية العيوني يعتمد على التكثيف الحدثي، والإدهاش المباغت، والسرعة في تعاقب الصور، وتواتر الأحداث والوقائع ثم إلقاء للضوء على الحدث الذي تسرده كل قصة والتفسير لبعض ما يدور في خيال الشخصية السردية، مع التعليق على بعض الحوادث.
وعلى الرغم من أنها تبدو بسيطة في حياة الشخوص، وإذ بها - عبر قناة العمل الفني - تبدو وقائع ذات قيمة ودلالة كبيرة، إذ تُبرز الكاتبة من خلالها الأشياء المنفلتة في حياة الإنسان العادية، وهي بلا شك إحدى مظاهر التحديث في القصة القصيرة عموماً.
وتحت عنوان "لقد كان يحلم" نقرأ: "رأيته بأم قلبي خارجاً من المستوصف المجاور يستقبل الحياة بلوحة كبيرة رأيتها بعينيه، مكتوبة برحيق أمل، رافعاً ملفات سليمة من مرض مشتبه... كيف اغتالته سيارة طائشة يقودها طفل طائش بجانبه امرأة خرجت لضرورة ملحة!... كنت أنا تلك المرأة!... آه... لو كنت أنا خلف المقود لما ساهمت في قتل إنسان كان يحلم!".
يضم الكتاب قصصاً قصيرة وقصيرة جداً جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: "دهشة الألم.. ألم الدهشة"، "شرشف أبيض"، "الطريق إلى المطار"، "اللص الذي كان ظريفاً"، "قلوب مشمسة"... "فاروق وحيد"، "المطفأة"، "وجع مؤرق"، "لقد كان يحلم"، "تناقض"، "كيف"... وعناوين أخرى.
