"القوانين الفقهية" كتاب فريد بفوائده، إذ يزيد عما سبقه وربما لحقه من مؤلفات بأنه جمع بين تلخيص مذهب المالكية والتنبيه على مذهب الشافعية والحنفية والحنبلية، وذلك بخلاف غيره من الكتب فإنها في المذهب المالكي خاصة. ويمتاز هذا الكتاب القانوني والفقهي بسهولة العبارة، ولطف الإشارة وحسن الترتيب، وهو بشكل عام ينقسم إلى قسمين أحدهما: في العبادات، والآخر في المعاملات، وكل قسم يتضمن عشرة كتب موزعين على مائة باب، وبالتالي انحصر الفقه في عشرين كتاباً ومائتي باب.
كتاب وضعه مصنفه في قوانين الأحكام الشرعية ومسائل الفروع الفقهية على مذهب امام المدينة ابي عبد الله مالك بن انس وقد زاد الى ذلك التنبيه على كثير من الاتفاق والاختلاف الذي بين الامام مالك وبقية المذاهب الحنفي والشافعي والحنبلي لتكمل بذلك الفائدة ويعظم الانتفاع
