Si la Gestalt – thérapie s’inscrit dans une filiation psychanalytique – Fritz et Laura Perls, ses fondateurs, ont d’abord été psychanalystes -, elle repose sur une théories comme sur une méthode propres.
“Gestalt” signifie en allemand forme ou figure, au sens de “prendre forme”. L’ organisme est indissociable de l’environnement et c’est ce movement permanent de tranformations réciproques, d’ajustement, qui façonnent l’individu.
La pathologie résulte des interruptions, inhibitions et autres accidents qui viennent compromettre cet ajustement perpétuel. Le gestalt- thérapeute recharche avec le patient la mise en movement des formes figées pour fluidifier l’échange entre l’organisme et l’environnement.
Au- delà, la proposition gestaltiste est une invitation à repenser le rapport de l’homme au monde.
