برزت القضية الكردية على الساحة الدولية كأحد القضايا الكبرى التي تشغل بال الرأي العام العالمي والتي تهدد الأمن والسلام وبوجه خاص في منطقة الشرقين الأدنى والأوسط خاصة في النصف الثاني من القرن العشرين. وقد زاد من اهتمام العالم بها أن الشعب الكردي يعيش في ثورة دائمة ويتطلع إلى نيل حقه في تقرير مصيره أسوة بالشعوب الأخرى في العالم، خاصة وأنه يتوافر له مقومات القومية من وحدة الأرض واللغة والعادات والتقاليد والتاريخ المشترك والآلام والآمال والمصالح المشتركة. هذا من جهة، ومن جهة ثانية فإن القضية الكردية أهميتها وآثارها على الساحة العربية والعالمية، وجوهرها أن الكرد يعيشون في الجزء الشرقي منها أي شرق الأناضول منذ آلاف السنين، وقبل قدوم الأتراك أنفسهم للاستقرار بهذه المنطقة بألفي عام على الأقل، وبرغم ذلك لا يعترف الأتراك بحقوق الأكراد القومية ويطلقون عليها اسم "أتراك الجبل"، رغم أن عددهم في شرق تركيا لا يقل عن خمسة عشر مليوناً، لذلك فالكرد يعيشون في ثورة دائمة وهي لم تتوقف أبداً في وجه الأتراك، كما أن الأتراك لم يتمكنوا بدورهم من إخماد الحركة الكردية القومية التحررية رغم سياسة النفي والإبادة التي يتبعونها للقضاء على هذه الثورات والحركات التحررية.
وفي هذا الكتاب يسلط المؤلف الضوء على هذه القضية "القضية الكردية في تركيا" التي بدأ نجمها يسطع رويداً، رويداً على النطاق العالمي، محطماً طوق العزلة التي كانت مفروضة عليها منذ أزمان غابرة وكأنها قضية منسية لا جدوى منها، تحطيماً كاملاً لتعم القضية كافة أرجاء المعمورة، وغاية المؤلف أن تصبح قضية الأكراد في تركيا قضية أساسية ومادة أولية في جداول أعمال مختلف القوى.
