Book Description
This book: is a course book for translation students and trainee translators using Arabic and English. It teaches general translation methodology, but it presupposes no previous knowledge of translation theory and methodology. The idea of the book is based on a general framework of translation methodology, which reflects the three basic steps in the process of translation: (1) source text comprehension, (2) source text rendering and target text production, and (3) translation revision. This general framework applies to all languages and all text types. This book is written in simple English to enable non-native speakers of English to absorb all ideas of the book. The book consists of six units with specific learning objectives.
