هي غزوة جاءت بعد انتكاسة أُحُد مباشرة، أمر اللّه بها الرسول (ص) عبر جبرائيل بالخروج والمرابطة في حمراء الأسد، ما بين مكة والمدينة؛ ليجعل منها مكمناً، وموقع صدّ ضد كفّار قريش الذين رابطوا بالروحاء قرب مكة وعقدوا العزم على العَودة إلى غزو المدينة، والعجيب في هذه الواقعة أن عدد المشركين كان يناهز على ثلاثة آلاف مقاتل، أما الرسول (ص) وجنوده فكان عددهم ما يقارب السبعين مجاهد أغلبهم جراحهم ثقيلة، أي أن عدد جنود الرسول (ص) لم يبلغ حتى عدد طالوت وجنوده، ورغم ذلك انتصر سبعون نفراً بقيادة الرسول (ص) على الكثرة الكافرة انتصاراً معنويّاً، وإعلاميّاً ساحقاً لا مثيل له في التاريخ.
