إن تربية الأبناء وتنشئتهم التنشئة السليمة من أعظم المهام الإنسانية، والتنشئة عملية شاقة وطويلة، فهي تمر بعدة مراحل، تبدأ قبل ولادة الطفل، منذ الإقدام على عملية الزواج، باختيار الرجل الزوجةَ الصالحة الواعية ذات الأخلاق الحسنة، التي تستطيع أن تربي أولادَه تربيةً صالحةً، وكذلك الأمرُ بالنسبة للمرأةِ باختيارها الزوجَ الصالح الذي يكون قدوةً حسنةً لأبنائه. أما فيما يخص التنشئةَ الفعليةَ للأبناء فهي تبدأ من لحظة ميلادِ الطفل، وهي تستلزم جُهدًا مستمرًّا، وتقتضي متابعةً دائمة، حتى يتشرب الطفلُ خصالَ الخير، وتتشبَّع روحُه بالأخلاق الرفيعة والمبادئ السامية، وترتكزَ شخصيته على أسس الإيمان والتقوى، فيكون لبنةً صالحة في المجتمع. من هنا اهتم الإسلام بعملية التنشئة، وأرسى لها في الكتاب والسُّنة مِن الأسس والضوابط ما يضمن القيامَ بها على الوجه الأمثل، الذي يُعِين الأهل والمربِّين على الأخذ بأيدي النشء إلى طريق الخير والفضيلة، وحث على الالتزام بهذه الضوابط، وذلك بأسلوب رشيد يتسم بالرفق والرحمة. ويسر «دار الفاروق للاستثمارات الثقافية» أن تقدم كتاب «حلية البنات والبنين وزينة الدنيا والدين» للعلامة الشيخ القاضي جمال الدين، محمد بن عمر بن مبارك اليماني، الشهير بـ«بحرق الحضرمي» وقد تناول فيه سبلَ تربية الأبناء، وما يجب أن يتعلموه، وفقًا للمنهج الإسلامي القويم في تربية الأبناء.
