لم أكن مهتماً بالسياسية , فمنذ أوائل تسعينات القرن الماضي , لم أنخرط في حرب , ولم أشارك في أية فعالية سياسية , حتى أنني لم أشارك فيما يسنمى ب ( ثورة التغيير ) ولم أشارك في أية فعالية سياسية , ولا وقفت في صفوف المؤيدين للرئيس علي عبد الله صالح , ولم أهتم بالوثيقة الخليجية ولا بالحوار الوطني , ولم أنتخب عبد ربه منصور هادي.. حتى حين سيطر الحوثيون على صنعاء بقوة السلاح , لم يمثل ذلك أي فرق بالنسبة لي.
أحلامي بسيطة أن أعيش مستوراً , وأنجب طفلين آخرين يمكنني الله من تربيتهم وتعليمهم دون منغصات , أتذكر حين رأيت زوجتي لأول مرة كان ذلك يوم عرسنا كانت جميلة وإن استغربت كبر أنفها في الصباح وبعد أن أزالت المكياج اكتشفت أنها ليست جميلة كثيراً , ولكنها أيضاً ليست دميمة , انزعجت أول الامر ولكنني تجاوزت ذلك سريعاً , حين وجدتها لطيفة , بسيطة , تريد الستر وتكوين أسرة بسيطة مثلي حتى إنه لم يمر وقت طويل إلا وصرت أراها في ذروة الجمال.
