تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى البحث في الدور الذي تلعبه المحكمة الجنائية الدولية في التصدي للمجرمين الذين يقوموا بانتهاك البشرية بالقيام بارتكاب جرائم القتل العمد من خلال سياسة منهجية للجرائم الكبرى مثل: الإبادة الجماعية، الجرائم ضد الإنسانية، جرائم الحرب، وجرائم العدوان. كما تبحث أيضا في الجهات صاحبة الاختصاص بتحريك الدعوى أمام المحكمة، ومدى خضوع هذه الجهات إلى التدخل والتأثير عليها وفيما إذا كانت القرارات مسيسة أم لا. وتقوم أيضا بالتعرف على الإجراءات التي تقوم بها المحكمة الجنائية الدولية لتمارس عملها عند ارتكاب جريمة من هذه الجرائم. كما سيتم التعرف على جرائم القتل التي تنظرها المحكمة الجنائية الدولية والإجراءات التي تنتهجها المحكمة الجنائية الدولية من أجل التصدي لهذه الجرائم بالمحاكمة وإيقاع العقوبات اللازمة على مرتكبيها. ومن جهة أخرى فإن هذه الدراسة تهدف إلى تبيان ماهية الإجراءات التي تقوم بها المحكمة الجنائية الدولية لتمارس اختصاصها على المجرمين الذين يقوموا بارتكاب هذه الجرائم. كما تقوم هذه الدراسة أيضا بتوضيح أهمية التعاون القضائي الدولي من أجل أن تنعم البشرية بالعدل والسلام وللمحافظة على السلم والأمن الدوليين.
