حياة إبراهيم الياقوت، كاتبة كويتية ولدت في 25 فبراير 1981 م. أسست في عام 2003 موقع دار ناشري للنشر الإلكتروني (ناشري.نت) وترأس تحريره، كما أسست في عام 2005 مجلة I-MAG الإلكترونية. وهي كاتبة مقالات منذ العام 1998 في صحف ومجلات كويتية وعربية متعددة منها القبس والشرق الأوسط. أدرج اسمها في دليل Who"s Who in Kuwait عام 2008 الذي يضم أسماء أهم 200 شخصية مبدعة في الكويت. كما أنها عضوة في مجلس إدارة رابطة الأدباء الكويتيين منذ عام 2015، وشغلت منصب أمينة سر الرابطة ورئيسة أكاديمية الأدب حتى مارس 2019.

يسارر نفسه: "ماذا نعلم عن السواد نحن؟ نحن الذين إذا سئلنا عنه دبّجنا الكلام عن بلال بن رباح رضي لله عنه، وعنترة بن شداد، وإذا غضب بعضنا من شخص غامق البشرة وصفوه بالعبد! قديما، كان وجود العبيد والإماء في الكويت اعتياديا حتى العشرينيات، حين صدر قانون بحظر استيراد العبيد. لكنَّ الأمر استغرق وقتا معتبرا حتى يخلو المجتمع من العبيد.
