لقد قبِل بعض علماء المسلمين الدعوة التي نادى بها بعض مرجعيات الشيعة للتقريب بين السنة والشيعة من منطلق عاطفي، بسبب حسن ظنهم بالشيعة، ودون اطلاع على مصادرهم، وما فيها من مخالفة لأصول الإسلام الصحيح, وكان حب أهل السنة للوحدة والاتحاد هو الذي دفعهم لقبول الحوار والتقريب، ولكن أهل السنة بعد التجارب الفردية والجماعية الطويلة خاب ظنهم، وظهرت لهم حقيقة الشيعة؛ حتى قال أكثر الناس حماسةً لها، وهو الشيخ محمد رشيد رضا ـ رحمه الله رحمة واسعة ـ: «..وإنني أقسم بالله وآياته لَشديد الحرص على الاتفاق، وقد جاهدت في سبيله أكثر من ثلث قرن، ولا أعرف أحدًا في المسلمين أعتقد أو أظن أنه أشد رغبةً وحرصًا على ذلك، وقد ظهر لي باختباري الطويل، وبما اطَّلعت عليه من اختبار العقلاء، وأهل الرأي أن أكثر علماء الشيعة يأبون هذا الاتفاق أشد الإباء؛ إذ أنهم يعتقدون أنه ينافي منافعهم الشخصية من مال وجاه..».
وكذلك ذهب الشيخ سعيد حوى ـ رحمه الله ـ بعد تجربته لنفس النتيجية فقال: «وجاءت الخمينية المارقة تحذو حذو أسلافها من حركات الغلو والزندقة التي جمعت بين الشعوبية في الرأي والفساد في العقيدة.. بالرغم من مرور سنوات عدة على وفاة الخميني فإننا مطالبون الآن وأكثر من أيّ وقت مضى بالعودة إلى عقيدته وفكره ومواقفه فما أشبه الليلة بالبارحة! وها هي إيران اليوم تسير على نفس النهج الذي رسمه لها الخميني بالأمس وتنشر التشيع الباطل وتعادي المسلمين من أهل السنة، وتوالي الكافرين، وتُعينهم على المسلمين وتعادي العرب، وتُعلي من شأن الفرس والقومية الفارسية».
ولهذا ابتدأت هذه الدراسة بقضية منهجية متعلقة بمنهج البحث، وأنه لابد أن يتسم بالشمول والكلية في تناول هذه القضية؛ لأن النظرة الجزئية لا تعطينا قراءة صحيحة بل مبتسرة ناقصة، عكس القراءة الكلية ـ المكرو ـ التي تعينا قراءة صحيحة. كما يجب أن نربط بين السلوك السياسي للشيعة ومعتقداتهم المنحرفة، والتي على أسسها ظهر سلوكهم السياسي ضدنا, كما قمت بتقديم رؤية حول تجربة التقريب من خلال من خاضوها، وفي النهاية أقول: إن من كان معترضًا على رفضنا لتقريب، وأنه خدعة وأداة في يد المشروع الشيعي الصفوي، فليقدم المعترض أدلته الموثقة لا أفكاره المسبقة.
