في المغرب كنوز ودرر أناخت عليها يد الزمن وسطت عليها عاديات الدهر، وللمغاربة ولعٌ كبير في إقتناء المخطوطات النفيسة يحافظون عليها كأثمن الذخائر وبها يتنافسون.
وكنت علمتُ من بعض أصدقائي التطوانيين أن هناك بعض الكنوز الخطية، فبينما كنت أقلب صفحات المخطوطة الأولى عثرت على وريقات متناثرة أخذت بدراسة تلك الوريقات، فانجلى أمرها وظهر أنها مبتورة ومتناثرة من مؤلف مخطوط كتب في تاريخ الملوك النصريين وسقوط آخر حصون العرب في الأندلس وتسليم غرناطة إلى غير ذلك من نقاط التاريخ الهامة.
إنهيار المملكة العربية في الأندلس وسقوط آخر حصون غرناطة ولد في جو المغرب مادة غزيرة لأقلام الكتّاب والأدباء، فكانت الأرض المغربية الكريمة الملجأ الوحيد لنازحي الأندلس من كتبة وشعراء.
رثاء تلك الفردوس المفقودة وذكريات معالم الأندلس وبسط عيشها وجمال أرضها وتدفق جداولها في حدائقها الغناء، وذكر مجلس زُمَر السمر وأندية عُصَب الأدب والتغني بأمجاد العرب وما كانوا عليه من رفعة مجد وسؤدد، كل ذلك وسّع ميدان الوحي ومجال الخيال لنفثات الشعراء.
