سافرت لأبحث عن ذاتي الضائعة في المغترب المكاني الجديد، وهناك تخصصت في الموسيقا التي كانت تمشي في دمي كالدماء العذب في أفلاجنا التاريخية، أدركت منذ البدء عمق الموسيقا في ملامسة روح الإنسان، وانحزت لها، لذلك الجسر العظيم بين الإنسان ذاته والكون والطبيعة، إنها لغة الكون التي تجمع بين الشعوب خارج معرفتها، إنها كالإبتسامة تماماً تصل لجميع القلوب، وتخترق كل المغاليق، لتغلغل للداخل.
ومع الوقت أحببت الموسيقا، أكثر فأكثر، عوضتني عن حنان الأم والأب، كنت أنظر للآلات الموسيقية بحنان جم، وأتنقل في تعلّمها من آلة إلى أخرى، شعرت أن البيانو يشبه جسد الأنثى الذي ما أن يداعبه العاشق بأصابعه حتى يتلوى وينساب لحناً عذباً بين يديه، بينما الآلات الوترية كالعود والقانون والكمان تشبه أعصاب الكائن في المواقف المتعددة كالغضب والخوف والفرح، تتصاعد الألحان منها صادقة حقيقية مندفعة كالدم الذي يمر في جسد الكائن فيحقق المشاعر بصدق، ويدفع القلب للخفقان واللذة.
حتى الإيقاع كنت أراه يشبه دقات القلب تماماً، خفقة خفقة يكتمل الحب، ويتحقق الكائن عبره، كما تكتمل المقطوعة وتتصاعد، ولكن العود ظل هو الرفيق الرفيق، الذي أحمله معي أينما ذهبت، إنه صديقي كالكتاب تماماً.
