عرف دارسو الأدب الإنجليزي والمتخصصون والمطلعون عليه الشاعر الإنجليزي الذائع الصيت وليام شيكسبير (1564-1616)، وطبق صيته الآفاق في كل أنحاء العالم وعرفه عشاق الأدب والمسرح شاعرا وكاتبا مسرحيا علي المسرح الإنجليزي في فترة ما في حياته. ومسرحية بيريكليز للشاعر وليام شيكسبير التى قام بترجمتها شعرا إلي اللغة العربية المترجم والشاعر اللواء د. توفيق منصور الباحث الذي أثرى المكتبة الأدبية والثقافية بمؤلفاته وترجماته، وظهرت منها إصدارات نُشرت في المركز القومي للترجمة ومكتبة الأسرة والهيئة العامة للكتاب ومكتبة الآداب والدار المصرية اللبنانية للنشر، وغيرها. ويتميز سيادته في أعمال الترجمة، إذ حصل علي جائزة رفاعة رافع الطهطاوي في الترجمة 2011 من المركز القومي للترجمة ، كما رشح للحصول علي جائزة عبد الله باشراحيل في الترجمة عن طريق كلية الآداب جامعة المنيا. وفاز كذلك بجائزة التميز في النقد 2017 التى نظمتها النقابة العامة لاتحاد كتاب مصر.
