نبيل راغب هو ناقد وكاتب ومفكر وأديب مصري معاصر من مواليد طنطا عام 1940. حصل على ليسانس الآداب من كلية الآداب جامعة القاهرة قسم الأدب الإنجليزى وشهادة الدكتوراه من جامعتى القاهرة ولانكستر بإنجلترا.عمل كأستاذ ورئيس لقسم النقد الفنى بالمعهد العالى للنقد الفنى بأكاديمية الفنون بالهرم ثم عميدا للمعهد لثلاث فترات متتالية.كما عمل كمستشار لوزير الثقافة في مصر من عام 1969 إلى 1973.بعد ذلك عمل كمستشار للرئيس الراحل محمد أنور السادات من 1975 إلى 1981. عمل كأستاذ زائر بجامعة إكسيتر بإنجلترا من عام 1982 إلى 1986. ألف 28 رواية تحول بعضها إلى أفلام سنيمائية مثل جبروت امرأة وخيوط العنكبوت وغرام الأفاعى ومسلسل برج الأكابر للتلفزيون المصري.وله أكثر من مائة مؤلف في الدراسات النقدية والسياسية والفلسفية والثقافية والحضارية.كما شارك في العديد من المؤتمرات والندوات والمهرجانات الفنية والسياسية العربية والدولية.و يعمل الآن كأستاذ للنقد الفنى في المعهد العالى للنقد الفنى وكلية الإعلام بجامعة مصر للعلوم والتكنولوجيا.

استطاع الشيخ زايد - طيّب الله ثراه- أن يحلّ المعادلة الصعبة التي تحتّم الجمع بين الأصالة والمعاصرة، بفضل الرؤية الثاقبة والخيال الخصب الذي منحه القدرة على تحليل مكوّنات الواقع وحقائقه، ثم الانطلاق إلى آفاق المستقبل. وقد تمثّلت الثوابت عند الشيخ زايد في قيم الدين الحنيف والمثل الإنسانية العليا والأخلاقيات التي من دونها يتحوّل المجتمع إلى غابة.
وقد تمثّلت الريادة الحضارية للشيخ زايد في الأساليب الإستراتيجية التي اتّبعها لتحقيق إنجازاته الوطنية، مثل إقامة "اتحاد الإمارات العربية". وأيّ باحث يتصدّى لدراسة معنى القرارات الكبرى التي اتّخذها الشيخ زايد سيجد أن الرابط المشترك لها هو تحرير الإرادة الوطنية، ووضع مصير الوطن في أيدي أبنائه، والحرص على مقوّمات الشخصية القومية، وذلك باعتماد تجربة حضارية لم تتوانَ عن الاستفادة من شتّى التجارب والخبرات التي تصلح لتقدّم الوطن، والرفض المطلق لتجميد هذه التجربة الحية في قوالب صمّاء.
