فغاندي تبعه الملايين وهتلر تبعه الملايين. وعلى نطاق الشركات العملاقة فبيل جيتز وأندي جروف هما رئيسان لأكبر شركات التقنية في العالم. لكن كلاهما له أسلوب يختلف عن الآخر. فبيل جيتز نشأ وهو ابن مدلل لمحام لامع وأندي أمضى طفولته العصيبة في هنغاريا الستالينية. وهنا تجد أن كلاهما يعمل على نفس الهدف لكنهما يختلفان اختلافاً كلياً في الأسلوب القيادي.
لذلك بدأت مصطلحات مثل جوهر القيادة والفراسة القيادية ومضمون القيادة بالظهور. فأنت في النهاية لا يمكنك أن تكون نسخة من هتلر أو من الوليد أو من جون بوغل لكن يمكنك أن تعمل على دراسة الأساليب المختلفة لهؤلاء القادة ومعرفة الأتباع الذين يعملون معك وتشكيل شخصية قيادية وأسلوب قيادي يتناسب مع البيئة التي تعمل فيها.
