هذه الدراسة التي جاءت تحت عنوان الإتّحاد الوحدوي في فكر علي ناصر الدين صاحب قضية العرب، تعكس لنا واقع الحال الذي كان سائداً خلال الإنتداب الفرنسي على لبنان وسوريا من صراع بين الوطن الواحد والمستعمر القاهر، ومن إنقسامات في العديد من التيّارات التي تؤمن بإتجاهات عدّة وتدين بالولاء لهذه الدولة أو تلك.
أمّا علي ناصر الدين فغير المعروف حاليّاً من قبل العديد من المفكّرين العرب ومجهول من قبل المؤمنين بوحدة البلاد العربية، هو في الواقع كما قيل عنه بأنّه صاحب قضية العرب، والمجاهد في سبيل القضية العربية، والمناضل البارز في العديد من الجبهات العسكرية.
أمّا المصادر التي اعتمد عليها المؤلف لإخراج هذه الدراسة، فهي تضمّ العديد من الوثائق العربية والأجنبية، التي عثر عليها في مكتبة علي ناصر الدين مؤخّراً (تنشر لأوّل مرّة)، بالإضافة إلى العديد من البيانات التي صدرت عن عصبة العمل القومي وعصبة تكريم الشهداء، وبعض الرسائل التي تلقّاها علي ناصر الدين من مؤيّديه في الخارج، منهم الأمير شكيب إرسلان وسلمان الصفواني، كما اعتمدت هذه الرسالة على بعض المؤلفات والكتب والمحلاّت والمطبوعات التي أرّخت تلك الفترة.
